Google Clarifies The Mobile-Friendly Algorithm Will Roll Out Over A Week
We would like to share some SEO facts in connection to the upcoming release of Google’s mobile-friendly algorithm set on April 21st of 2015.
The new algorithm will be supported on a real-time and page-by-page basis. Some questions being raised were how long will it take for the new algorithm to roll out from the date of the launching and what steps to take so you will know your page is entitled to benefit from it?
News about the release caused serious concern among webmasters as the new algorithm will certainly have tremendous impact as compared to the previous Penguin and Panda algorithms.
In a recent Google+ hangout, Google addressed a series of questions. These are the three things we learned:
(1) The New algorithm will commence globally on the 21st of April. Progression will take a couple of days to a week to complete.
(2) This algorithm has no definite standard of mobile-friendliness. Your page is either a friend or enemy.
(3) You will know your web pages are mobile-friendly if you see the mobile-friendly label in the live mobile search result otherwise you may check the mobile-friendly testing tool. This should match with the live Google search results. Due to crawl time, the mobile usability reports in Google Webmaster Tools can be delayed sometimes.
